2026 AUTUMN CUP
Ann Hedden & Andy Cole beat Belinda Moore & Dave Andrew in a very entertaining match. The scores were close up until 7 all, then Ann & Andy gradually put on the pressure until the final unbeatable score of 17-8
after 13 ends. Mens Captain, Dave McGarragh, gave an excellent speech, and presented the trophy.

Belinda in her first final as a relative newcomer, and Dave in the final for the 2nd year running. Andy was a runner up in the Spring Cup, earlier this year, and Ann was one of the winning team in the 2026 Drawn Triples.

WELCOME!
Established in 1922, Woburn Sands Bowls Club moved, in April 2015, from the centre of Woburn Sands to new premises in Aspley Guise off Common Lane, near to the golf club (see Find us).
Our new facilities are second to none. We have one of the finest grass greens in the area as well as a 4 rink artificial green which allows us all year round bowling. Set in peaceful and attractive grounds our well-equipped clubhouse and bar hosts many social events throughout the year including quiz nights, social evenings and our renowned meals.
We welcome new members of all ages and abilities and offer coaching sessions from our 10 coaches. We also provide for disabled players.
Friendly fixtures against other local clubs take place most weekends during the Summer season and we have many internal fun competitions for all members throughout the year. Bowling is a great way to meet new friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
For the more serious bowler we are affiliated to Bowls England and Buckinghamshire Bowls Association and take part in many National and County competitions.
As with most privately run clubs we depend on the use of volunteers from the membership to help with various tasks for the smooth running of the club, The management committee appoint managers for the various tasks who organise the volunteers in rotas for the season.

2026 BUCKS PLATE FINAL
Congratulations to our men’s team who secured a narrow victory over Long Crendon this morning (13/09/26) winning by one shot 70-69. On a wet and miserable morning we travelled to Hazelle’s Bowls Club Aylesbury for the final. It was a tightly fought game with scores fluctuating on either side. In the end it came down to the final end of Trevor Templeman’s rink. Leading by 3 shots going in to the final end, we were 3 down until Trevor managed to draw the shot, only for their skip to trail the jack to take 2 shots. Luckily it wasn’t 3 or we would have had to play extra ends.
A great team effort from all who took part. Dave Babey, Mark Richards, Bryan Perry, Barry Wilson, Russell Tucker, Adrian White, David Andrew, Bertie Henry, Trevor Templeman, Geoff Cooke, Steve Misseldine and Dave McGarragh.

2026 CLIFF HING TOURNAMENT
This year's tournament was played under difficult conditions, due to the extreme heat. Well done to the Finalists, who had to play a total of 30 ends on the day. Runners Up were Elaine & Dave Heller.

2026 SPRING CUP
Paul Harper & Michael Cole beat Andy Cole & Barry Wilson. The Cup was presented by Club President Bryan Perry. Well organised, on this occasion, by Jacky Jeffreys & David Hancorn.
2025 AUTUMN CUP
Dave McGarragh & Christa Maurer beat Heather Spragg & David Andrew in a closely contested final. After 14 ends the scores were level and an extra end was needed for a final score 12-11. Chairman Barry Wilson presented the trophy and thanked Dave McGarragh for organising the event.
